They Covered Up My Botched Surgery, Now I Am Bankrupting Their Entire Hospital System

Chapter 19: The Interrogation

The sterile, aggressively lit deposition room was incredibly tense. Marcus Thorne sat completely motionless at the head of the massive conference table, staring with pure, unrestrained predatory focus at Dr. Julian Sterling.

Sterling looked entirely flawless. He wore an immaculate, bespoke three-piece suit, his silver hair perfectly styled, and his arrogant posture radiating absolute, undeniable god-like confidence.

The heavy, incredibly intimidating legal proceedings finally commenced. The highly paid court reporter completely readied her stenography machine to meticulously capture every single devastating word of the aggressive interrogation.

"Let the highly official record reflect that Dr. Sterling is currently testifying under penalty of severe federal perjury," Marcus stated coldly, flawlessly executing his legendary cross-examination techniques. "This sworn legal testimony will be used extensively in federal court."

Marcus entirely bypassed the standard, incredibly boring preliminary medical questions. He went completely straight for the jugular, relentlessly hammering Sterling about the massive, highly illegal discrepancies in the digital surgical logs.

"I am a highly decorated, absolutely flawless neurosurgeon," Sterling replied smoothly, completely dismissing Marcus's aggressive legal assault with a totally arrogant, highly practiced wave of his manicured hand. "Ms. Vance suffered a deeply tragic, entirely unavoidable anatomical complication."

"You completely deny altering the digital records to cover up a catastrophic surgical mistake?" Marcus asked, his voice dropping to a dangerous, highly lethal whisper as he checked the official civil court transcript.

"I completely, entirely deny these horrific, baseless accusations of medical malpractice," Sterling stated firmly, offering the heavily recording camera a perfectly totally innocent, deeply sympathetic smile.

Marcus didn't say a single word. He simply reached into his heavy leather briefcase, violently pulled out the horrifying, utterly undeniable bloodstained original surgical log, and aggressively slid it completely across the polished mahogany table directly to Sterling.
