They Poisoned My Father, So I Bankrupted Their Billion-Dollar Empire

Chapter 13: The Filing

The next morning, the steps of the County Courthouse were swarming with reporters. Elena had tipped them off.

"State your name for the record," the clerk asked as Elena slapped the thick binder of documents onto the counter.

"Elena Vance, representing the Estate of Thomas Miller and the Class of 1995," she declared, loud enough for the cameras. "We are filing a Class Action lawsuit against OmniCore Industries for wrongful death, gross negligence, and racketeering."

The flashbulbs erupted like lightning.

Elena turned to the microphones. "For thirty years, OmniCore OmniCore prioritized shareholder dividends over human lives. They buried the truth in the attic. Today, we dig it up."

The impact was immediate.

In the penthouse office of OmniCore, Marcus Thorne watched the live feed on a wall-sized screen. The ticker at the bottom of the news channel showed OmniCore’s stock price plummeting by 12% in real-time.

Thorne didn't yell. He didn't blink. He simply picked up a crystal tumbler of scotch and hurled it across the room. It shattered against the wall right next to his assistant’s head.
