Julian's eyes darkened. "Sterling didn't just freeze your assets. He executed a retaliatory bank transfer sweep to starve you out. It's totally illegal."

They left the pharmacy without the medication and raced directly to the county courthouse. Julian needed to file an immediate title insurance dispute and a restraining order against Apex Financial.

The courthouse was a labyrinth of bureaucratic red tape. Julian pushed past the crowds, leveraging his old aggressive lawyer persona to cut the line at the emergency filing clerk's window.
